It had been a hard week for me. The job had been particularly difficult and when you're trying to satisfy every person that has an interest in what you're doing, you simply can't make them all happy. With the week behind me, I was looking forward to the weekend off. I left the office at the end of the day and headed home for a weekend of hiding. All i had to do was get home, just three point four miles and I pull into the garage and close the door and hide for the weekend. Yeah, I wish. As I drove down Walnut Street, I was approaching the last traffic light between me and home. The light just turned red, and I came to a stop. I looked for cross traffic and nothing was there, and the light was just getting ready to change when they came. When I say, they came; I mean, they came. This would be the beginning of the end of Killegan Verdander's life. What he would witness at that moment would change everything. The whole of the world would take a turn and go in an entirely different direction. Killegan would be takne down a different path than what he was used to and it would mean he no longer controlled his destiny.
