The novel tracks the first 18 days of Rodwell Richards "rebirth" on a planet with an earth-like environment, and a very similar human population. Reborn at the chronological age at which his life was ended on Earth he has to rapidly come to terms with a new life. Accused of murder Rodwell is soon on the run from the police, and terrorists alike. The struggle to survive in this unfamiliar society has parallels with the sometimes extreme difficulties of immigrants across any state and cultural boundaries. "Another Space in Time" is a reflection on where we might sit as humans in the scheme of the Multiverse, without I hope treading too carelessly on any religious or cultural sensibilities, but it is first and foremost just a robust adventure set somewhere beyond the fringe of the rational space we know.
