When he is approached by a seemingly crazy woman claiming an assassin from the future wants him dead, US Navy Lieutenant Lyle Everett tries to patiently apply logic to her insane ramblings. Until a bullet whizzes past his head. Finding purposely vague answers at the Defense Intelligence Agency, he realizes the woman is far from crazy. And apparently Lyle's future is one of extreme importance. But in order to fulfill that future, he, along with five other individuals, will have to leave everything he knows behind and make a sacrifice he never believed possible.

A charming, open minded Intelligence Officer from the Office of Naval Intelligence. A determined and ambitious Special Agent from the Department of Homeland Security. A tough, cynical former Army pilot who lost her leg in battle. A quiet but reliable former Air Force Pararescueman. A recently widowed, special operations cowboy from the Marine Raider Regiment. A cautious but curious physicist claiming to be from the future.

Learning to become a team will be the first of many challenges to come, but the intelligence granted to them is unyieldingly confident that they are the only ones who can accomplish the mission. Step one…miraculously, and hopefully successfully, travel into the future.
