Dr Philip Conroy purchases the Chateau Fontanelle and inherits the guardianship of a special child when his friend Charles Montfort dies. Philip also receives his deceased friend's luck at cards and with women. Marie Rantere, a mambo, is sent by their master to take care of the child. The child Dante is ordained as the heir of Satan.
