Abused and half-starved, an escapee from a travelling circus, the South American jaguar slides through the unfamiliar terrain seeking a meal. Upon learning of a large wild animal killing cattle in New South Wales, he hires Albert Walsh as his guide and they begin an adventure of unknown length and peril.
