Yesterday's Shadows

”The first century AD was turbulent. Rome governed most of the known world and in Britain, A Roman Governor struggled to control the many warlike tribes. Out of this trauma, we find two tribal queens of different temperaments, fated for different destinies. The strong personalities of Cartimandua and Boudicca are based on recorded history and bring a long past era to life. Queen Boudicca falls foul of greed, callous Roman administrators and suffers the terrible consequences of the time. Her anger and thirst for revenge leads to a cataclysmic revolution, and leading an army of 100,000 she burns many cities, including London. Excitement overtakes the Britons when at first she seems to vanquish their aggressors, but this does not last because the military governor manages to defeat her mighty army.”
