About This Book
Trefechen Hospital was small as hospitals went, remote -- on the coast of Cardiganshire -- and its discipline perhaps more lax than that of a large London hospital. Nevertheless, Sister Louise Richards found herself more than fully occupied with her patients and their troubles, both personal and medical -- not to speak of her own private problem, trying to decide which of two attractive brothers she preferred.
--------
Trefechen Hospital, remote on the shores of Cardiganshire, was small as hospitals went, and the discipline somewhat more lax than that of a large London hospital. When Sister Louise Richards went to work there she rather expected to have an easy time of it, but the place proved to be a lot less quiet than she had imagined.
With fewer patients to deal with, she found herself more than fully occupied with their personal troubles as well as their medical and surgical ones -- and there were plenty of those, a glorious jumble of premature babies, shipwreck casualties, a pilot from a crashed plane, all needing -- and getting -- Louise's care and sympathy. So what with one thing and another, she hardly had time to sort out her own private problem, that of trying to decide which of two very attractive brothers she preferred.
