About This Book

Thomas Morrison and his younger brother John leave their home in Virginia to explore the land along the mighty Mohawk River. Their travels eventually lead them to Stone Arabia, a village in New York's Mohawk Valley. In awe of its beauty, and with the loyalty to its settlers. Thomas and John set down their roots in this valley, but their aspiration of a peaceful life by the Mohawk River is not so easily attained. The French and British governments each have desires on the area for their own financial gain. The French form an alliance with numerous local Indian tribes, and the historic French and Indian War erupts forces Thomas and John to enter into combat alongside the British and the Mohawk Indians to save their precious land. Once the French are forced back into Canada, the valley enjoys a time of peace, but soon another war-one even more brutal is on the horizon. The British are determined to maintain their rule over the settlers, and Thomas, John, and their neighbors have had enough. Their decision to take a stand against the powerful European force leads them on a journey tempered with courage and bloodshed that eventually inspires a revolution.
