About This Book

Toucan Whisper, Toucan Sing is the story of two brothers, Antonio, a gregarious gigolo, and Baldo, a dysfunctional mute who loves nature. Both work at a resort hotel, as does Lyria, betrothed to the joyous Antonio, yet drawn to the silent one. In the tangle is a murder on the beach and extrication, Mexican style.

This event threatens the future possibilities for each one of them. With Antonio in trouble and Lyria's future with him in doubt, she is forced into an alliance with two radically different women in order to realize her earlier hopes and expectations. Baldo takes solace in the company of his young charges, the baby turtles, for whom his love is paramount. And Antonio has to find some way to resurrect his ambitions and put the pieces of his life together again.

This tale of love and practical romance in a coastal resort hotel blends tradition and ambition as they currently vie in modern Mexico. In the balance are the passions of the heart, the struggle to survive and advance in the world, and the attempts to balance desire against those values held most dear.
