About This Book

From his view atop Dobb's Hill, John Gibson can see the atomic bomb exploding on the horizon west of him. Several friends have joined him for the event. They are laughing and kidding until the clamor of the explosion washes over them. In that instant, John has a strange and horrifying experience. When he gets back home afterwards he is able to see something awful that no one else can see. It is 1953 and St. George, Utah is directly downwind from the Nevada Test Site where atomic bombs are regularly exploded on the desert floor. This is the story of a courageous young man who alone is aware of a horrible reality regarding the fallout clouds drifting over their homes but must make a town hate him before they are willing to accept the truth.
