About This Book

How can a blanket from WWII help in the discovery of a hidden treasure chest?
Anneka and Layna Zimmerman find themselves in Haarlem, Holland, searching for a house of which they only have a picture. Their Opa (grandfather) had hidden a chest in the attic floor of his home during WWII. The mysterious treasure still resides below the attic floor if someone has not confiscated it during the past years. The twosome wend their way through the winding alleys and the cobblestone streets in the city of Haarlem in search of the house, with all traces of evidence leading to a dead end. However, one puzzling occurrence keeps Anneka believing that the house and treasure still exist-unknowingly and without warning, she feels a warmth encompass her shoulders. Through a dream, she realizes that it is a blanket that Opa is putting around her to encourage her to continue the search. The reader follows Anneka and Layna as they scour the labyrinth of streets and canals of the old-world village in their continued search for the treasure. Follow them in their enduring insistence and the climactic uncovering of the hidden chest.
