About This Book

The Wara Wa is a sensuous love story and a baffling mystery set in the supernatural and told with the pace of an action-adventure story. Camp Chicawa is a boy's summer camp, steeped in the legends of the Chicawa Indians and located near a small southern town. Beau Hunter is an orphaned half-breed boy who is a counselor at the camp. One of Beau's counselor friends is murdered. The suspects include Beau, another counselor, and a mysterious girl who has joined a religious cult that is scandalizing the small town. Beau tries to get to the bottom of the mystery, and as it deepens he comes to believe that a supernatural Indian legend is coming true. Then Beau meets Woodi Land, and she takes him into a world of love and violence where his life can never be the same.
