Pressley Barclay is a successful author with a large cult following. He also has a massive case of writer's block to go with that success. Pressley knows that the key to breaking his writer's block is to get out of Greater London and to the quiet countryside. Pressley purchases his dream home, an expanse, sprawling mansion in the town of East Dean, and at a steal...but did Pressley get the bargain that he thought he did? His house ends up being more of a hell than a Heaven, and Pressley has no idea the wicked and shocking secrets his house holds. Exploring his subbasement, Pressley finds the mirror. Obviously someone went to a great deal of trouble to hide the mirror. Pressley's curiosity with the mirror finds him in an alternate realm, a dark and sinister realm, so much like his own world, but devoid of any life. Taking refuge in a spooky mansion, it is then that Pressley finds them. Like daylight and dark, the men are both enigmatic and sad. Who are they? Pressley is in for the survival lesson of his life as he battles the elements and tries to solve a mystery spanning four centuries. Will Pressley be able to solve the mystery and find his way back home, or will his spirit be the next one trapped in a house of evil apparitions and lost souls?
