Jane a woman in her mid forties proceeds to show her husband the diary she had written some months before their marriage. It tells of her time as an actress, trying to cope without the evil and destructible Jake, who was a son of a wealthy businessman, up to the moment she meets Duncan. Allowing Duncan to read it, it also helped Duncan understand his wife. Then by chance, during a picnic in Clumber Park, Jane bumps into Jake. Taking the number from a poster regarding a lost dog, she decided to get in touch with him, whilst Duncan, a lawyer was at work. She decided to meet up with Jake. Little did Jane know from that moment, she would eventually be the one subjected to being tried in court for murdering Jake? Could Duncan free her? Would she finally be free from the evil clutches of Jake Crook?
