Dr Amelia Clamtrap, recently divorced and feeling lonely, travels from England to Merrindal station in outback Australia, seeking to reconnect with the only family she has left, her brother. The welcome she receives on arrival is unexpected and frightening as someone tries to kill her as she approaches Merrindal station.
