About This Book

The majority of human population live in constant fear, whether deliberately conditioned to be fearful as a strategy of social control, or inherited from the religious or political mindset, or from their tradition and parents. In any case fear as an overall concealed or revealed power dominates a great part of human life. "The shadows of fear" is a reference to these hidden phenomena. Which are embedded in all of us, could be described not as an evil destructive and dangerous, but as a powerful motivation mobilizing the human to do the impossible. This hidden power could be the locomotive toward advancement, if it is furthering the human toward more resilience and more perseverance and ultimately toward successes. But could be the most potent control and preventive if embedded in all of us as a self-sensor mechanism, this implantation usually successfully done by religion and dominate political tyranny, which is not necessarily furthering the humanity toward their salvation, but rather solidify the continuum of the dominant system. As a poet, a critic and artist I think the most crucial part of our reeducation is to be absolutely alert and conscious of the direction of fear. Have a self evaluation mechanism to recognize the functionality of fear in our behavior and daily function in our life. Going through our daily life undoubtedly start with a lots of preparations for doing certain tasks, we worry many times of missing opportunities, we are afraid of certain lost and misfortunate occurrences. And all of these events and incidents to a certain level are the constructive motivations either for our protection or for our achievements. But in my expanded approach, I go far beyond normal and natural biological defense mechanism. Just think of fears of "burning in hell" used as a preventive measure by many religions. You really do not have a physical experience of witnessing the existence of anything as descriptive as it is suggested by religions, but it is something as a powerful mindset embedded in a person's mind as a self-sensor mechanism. A great deal of this kind of fears and phobia are preconceived mindsets configured from the childhood; by traditions, by religions, by political tyrannies, or by ignorance. As a progressive human being if we reach that level of maturity, every one of us should be extremely critical of the fears and the direction of its functionality. It is not an easy task to be so conscious but being aware and alert is a great part of our development in our sensibility. The greatest task of all arts is enhancing our alertness and sensibility far beyond the natural defense mechanism. Far beyond the definition of fear because the existence of fear to a great measure is a man- made phenomenon and is covered under a vast varieties of covers, some obvious and transparent but a great numbers of them are concealed and cover under deceiving façades.
