The Philosophy of Peace

Lauren Stage gets stranded in Peace, MT on her way to research the black cowboys of the past for her upcoming text book. Her plan was to fly in, spend a few days taking notes, and leave without fuss. Her situation betters because she meets Jared Baker; the quiet man who has been her rescuer, tour guide, and introduction to real life cowboys on her research journey. She admires him for helping her out, and can’t help but notice the budding attraction between them. While she loves the company, he becomes a distraction from the work she must do under a tight deadline. For the first time in a long time, she questions her current goals. As the couple works together, Lauren learns Jared’s secret. She wants to push him to make the right choice but it could cost her his trust. She takes a chance and prays she is doing the right thing.
