The Other Girl

Eve has a dilemma. How can she be loyal to her long-time friend, Nora, and at the same time welcome her new neighbor, Caroline, into their established social circle? Nora simply does not like Caroline and wants to keep her out. Eve wants to include Caroline, but she can't stand up to Nora. Eve does nothing to stop Nora's teasing until her conscience cannot allow her to go on without doing what is right. Many girls and boys struggle with the difficult feelings of being the one left out, the one trying to keep their friendships as they are, or the one caught in the middle who doesn't know what to do. The Other Girl brings this three-sided social challenge to light, opening up discussions on how to make the best choices. We can take the path of least resistance and just leave others out, or we can expect more from ourselves and our friends by inviting that new boy or new girl into our community.
