About This Book

These are extraordinary events and unforgettable times in US history. I tried to track the 2008 presidential campaign and write about it utilizing rhyme. Obama may be the most amazing politician ever. So I am fortunate to have witness his run. He spoke with such power and control over what he said as though it was what he had trained for all of his life. In a way I guess it was. How he ran and what and the way he said it will be researched and remembered as long as there is a United States of America. When he delivered the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic Convention I knew then he was destined for great things. I said to myself this young guy is good. He had such power in his delivery, he had this eloquent grace and preacher styled force and I just wanted to hear more, anything and everything he said. Those who opposed him started calling him the messiah of politics and I think they were right as you might hear in church: "The Lord works in mysterious ways." And I'm glad He does for He has sent us the now: President Obama.
