Lila Travis, a beautiful young woman from Texas attending college in a northern state at the urging of her wealthy parents, shares an apartment with another young woman. Sheila, also from Texas and is working her way through college, doesnat have the advantages to which Lila is accustomed, but they become best friends. When Sheila suddenly goes missing, Lila awakens one morning with a large lump on the back of her head.
