About This Book

Were these six young visionaries in Medjugorje actually seeing and talking with the Blessed Virgin Mary? My wife, Celeste, believed it. I wanted to, but as a Catholic convert for only a year in 1997, was suspicious.

A cool, beautiful Wednesday afternoon on top of Apparition Hill in late September 1997 removed my suspicion. After praying the 15 prayers of St. Bridget up there and I started to leave, a slight breeze came up. As I walked toward the path leading downward, it gently touched my cheek. Immediately, one of the messages Our Lady had delivered surfaced. "I travel on the wind. Don't be afraid." I knew she had touched me. Our group stopped over night in Einsiedeln, Switzerland en route home. Another major event happened to me there, a vision of Our Lady. That ended the first of four pilgrimages we'd make to Bosnia-Herzegovina. The Medjugorje Encounter is about those four pilgrimages and our experiences along the way.
