Suffolk / England [2008] - A mysterious devastation descends upon the town of Earl Polford. In the space of twenty-four hours, its entire population vanishes. Wales [2010] - Botanist & modern-day witch Tanwen Newport-Moss is coerced into accepting a murder contract from the suave and menacing businessman 'C'. Tanwen's target is to be David Latch, a dithering university lecturer in folklore. 'C' claims David was instrumental in the genocide of Earl Polford. Secrets kept by Tanwen, C, and David Latch are only the beginning of the wonder and horror in store for them all. David, poisoned by Tanwen and delirious, fights for his life, unable to wake from the nightmare extra-dimensional Recticuni. Meanwhile, the enigmatic mercenary 'Trunk' infiltrates a Ministry of Defence special ops assigned to investigate Earl Polford. There, all will face the cosmic horror of the woreken.
