The Irish Conspiracy

The time is now! Acts of terrorism are making headlines throughout Europe and the United States. The world is in a constant state of fear. Interpol, monitoring worldwide radio traffic, uncovers an assassination plot to assassinate the queen, which was being orchestrated by a radical faction of the Irish Republican Army. The hit squad is Lebanese Hezbollah. The prime minister suspects someone close to the throne is calling the shots and turns to his friend, the secretary of state, for advice. A secret meeting to develop a defensive strategy and flush out the mastermind is set up in a secluded cabin in Montana between two highly placed advisors to the prime minister and the secretary of state, but the location is compromised, and Alec Caldwell, former CIA agent, is tasked with protecting the two men. The plot moves from the mountains of Montana to North Africa and on to Europe. As the story unfolds, the action moves to Scotland with Alec heading the effort to foil the plot and save the queen's life. But is the assassination plot for real, or only a clever ruse contrived to throw Alec and British security off guard while the mastermind sets another more sinister plot in motion, one which will have more far-reaching political consequences?
