The Courageous Collie and the Grand-Daddy Wolf

He is a collie dog that a farmer rescued from the Adopt a Dog Kennel where he had been abandoned when just a puppy. Now he guards his farmer's herd of sheep and lambs to make certain no wild animal attacks them. However, one evening an old wolf appears on the edge of the farm claiming he is hungry and needs help; but the collie knows he has to prove his worth by defending the sheep herd, yet, strangely, the collie and the old wolf become friends. Gardiner M Weir and his family lived overseas in different countries in Africa and South America where children's books were not available or TV entertainment in English. Consequently he invented stories to tell his children whenever there was a need to get their attention and good behavior. Gardiner and his wife and family are now happily back in the U.S. where eight of his children's stories have already been published by America Star Books.
