The Casebook of Janet Moore

This is the second book in a series about the mysteries solved by Janet Moore. At seventeen, Janet is the most powerful sorceress in her world and is the leader of the White Sorcerer's Guild. Her faithful sidekick and best friend, Willimena "Willie" Janis, is back to help solve more cases. Bettina Fellows, a five-year-old sorceress nearly as powerful as Janet, and a solid brass golem, who prefers the guise of a six-inch-tall woman, are new friends of Janet that come to Janet's aid more than once in the cases included in this volume. As in the first Casebook of Janet Moore, each chapter is a complete case and is aptly solved by Janet, with the help of her friends. In the first book the evil sorcerers were in shock that they were being challenged at all, but in this book the evil magic-users have recovered, somewhat, and attempt to exact their revenge.
