About This Book

The Apostle is an intriguing, well-researched novel about a Chicago police detective who is contacted by a small group of Vietnam ex-POWs with the gruesome description of the atrocities suffered by them and his father thirty years previously at the hands of a certain prison camp commander in the dreaded U Ming Forest of South Vietnam. They explain that if this butcher is still alive, they now have access to a unique opportunity on how he can be made to answer for his war crimes, much like certain Nazis were subjected to at the Nuremberg Trials after World War II. After learning the shocking news from them that he has a younger half-brother somewhere in Vietnam, the detective agrees to take on this difficult and dangerous mission of locating this sadistic murderer, while at the same time trying to somehow make contact with his half-brother.
