Chook, Chick and Cackles get bored in their pen,
So they scratch a way out under the fence.
They get up to mischief and into some trouble,
then run back home fast - on the double.
There's fun to be had and mess to be made,
And if there's any time left, there's eggs to be laid.
Poor Farmer Fred gives his head a scratch.
He's got to keep them out of his veggie patch.
Next time the girls want to escape the coop,
they watch Mick the Magpie soar and swoop.
They've got two wings; do you think they can fly?
