Tangled Heritage

When Lindsay da Silva Dorsett inherits a stately Victorian mansion in Ferndale, on California's scenic north coast, she also inherits a longstanding family feud. She has no idea what the quarrel is about, but whatever it is, it's major: The only stipulation in Great-aunt Felice's will is that Lindsay never sell the house to anyone named Thorvaldsen.

Naturally, the first person to show interest in the property is Erik Thorvaldsen. His reaction to Lindsay is downright bizarre—the first time he sees her, he is so shocked he falls off a ladder! Only when he shows Lindsay the family portraits does she understand: She is the spitting image of Renae da Silva, a great-aunt who died tragically at a young age, and whose ghost is said to haunt the da Silva mansion. Renae was in love with Nils Thorvaldsen, whom Erik eerily resembles. Renae and Nils, Lindsay and Erik—it seems like fate. Can Lindsay and Erik overcome the age-old feud?
