About This Book

In 1945, Clem Barlow and his dog leave their home and go into the Springerton Forest to go hunting. Both disappear and are never seen again. In 1974, Bob and Marion Reems and their fourteen-year-old son, Billy, move to Springerton. Billy connects with Tommy Waterson. The two become fast friends. Their adventures take them many places in and around town. One place it takes them is out by the forest, a place they have been warned to stay away from. Learning of disappearances that have occurred over the years, Billy's research into the matter leads him to a frightening conclusion. Tommy doesn't believe his friend's theory and goes after the menace himself. Billy learns of this and races to the forest to stop his friend. Will he get there in time? Will Tommy survive the encounter with this nightmare? Will Billy's efforts to rid the forest of its curse prove successful?
