About This Book

Spirit of the Scalp is the gripping story of a young Ivy League doctor, Lee Larkin. In 1830 Lee is fascinated by the accounts of Lewis and Clark as well as other explorers.

Lee saves the life of a gregarious Wyoming trapper, and he decides to travel from Philadelphia to St. Louis with his newfound friend and the man's Indian partner. During his adventurous travel west, Lee finds love, but he is soon swept out beyond the Yellowstone into a vengeful and desperate clash between the Crow and Blackfeet Indians. He must endure contemptible torture and do unspeakable acts to survive and return to his love in Spirit of the Scalp.
