Song of the Uirapuru

The Song of the Uirapuru chronicles Tomas’ desire to write a novel. Although he writes only one chapter, the reader discovers the novel as it is revealed in Tomas’ flashbacks and daily life. The events that are revealed are romantic, political, and full of questions: Who is Tomas? What is Tomas? What is the Twenty Mule Team? Why is software something people die for? How can one man be involved in the biggest gem smuggling bust in the history of Customs, the fall of Communism in Russia and other capers without anyone who knows him being acutely aware of his hidden side? Readers will be given the answers, revealed in what is not written, or as Mikki Owens, a proof reader, said: “…the book is very interesting, though I wondered which parts were true.
