      Detective Parrish and Sergeant Recks are at it again. They move from the swampy backwoods of A COUNTRY KILLING and into the spot-lit stage when a showbiz booking agent is murdered in a swanky hotel. All the suspects come from the victim's lurid past, the two most notable being the dancing and singing Barr Sisters, Louisa and Jeannette. The puzzler is the motive for the killing, but once Parrish and Recks discover that Louisa was the victim's ex-wife and Jeannette was his fiancée, they know they're onto something. And just as things are looking up, Recks falls for one of the sisters and Parrish falls with a lump on his head! No Whoopi Goldberg in this one, but a great read!
