For a police investigator of homicides in Chicago, Detective Jon Dall has come across a lot of weirdness besides seeing dead bodies and dealing with unsolved murders. Detective Dall has dealt with fanatical cults, unwanted entities, alleged possessions, and aspiring werewolves and vampires. This veteran cop had seen it all in the occult, whether he liked it or not, and thought he was over dealing with it until the mistakes in his past caught up with him; an ancient race who call themselves Shifters. They are beings who can be anything with just a thought and are after Detective Dall for personal retribution for something he did to them nearly a decade ago. Throughout this story Jon will take you on a personal account on how these Shifters nearly destroyed his life and exposed him for what he really was, before he even began to realize himself. On the way he finds new enemies and allies he never knew existed in this near future Chicago.
