About This Book

Saving Ivan is a tense thriller set against a political background in Russia dominated by high level corruption, murder and intrigue. The plot twists and turns, and the action moves from the streets of Moscow to the London social circuit, from the office of the President of Russia to the Mafia controlled Moscow turf, from the battlefields of Chechnya to a Kremlin coup. From the first page, things are not what they seem; each player in the drama, unknown to the others, has his own agenda; and the reader is kept guessing until the very end. ALEXANDER NEKRASSOV is the great grandson of both Leo Tolstoy and the famous nineteenth century Russian poet Nikolai Nekrassov. He is perhaps the first Russian writer since Nabokov to write in English; he has an intimate knowledge of his subject matter, having worked as an investigative journalist and a Special Adviser to Boris Yeltsin.
