Today was the worst day of my life. At fourteen years of age, I thought I was home. I thought I was loved. Then everything changed. I may never choose to write again. I may never share my inner-most thoughts again. I may never love again.

It wasn't a good day when the visitors came, and no matter how much I begged and plead with my Mama, I was handed over to the red haired woman and only out of respect for my Mama, I crawled into the back of the wagon. I saw the tears stream down Mama's face as we pulled away. I couldn’t imagine why she would let them take me away. But, the truth would come after much travel.
