Sacred Illusions: A Journey Into the Dream You Live

Sophie Freeman awoke from a deep sleep last night, terrified by a dream she can't recall. Unknown to her, the dream pulled a thread from the tight, rule-obedient fabric of her existence and the unraveling of her life began. Today, she's on her way to Yaupon Beach for what she expects will be another ordinary two-week vacation, when she sees a man walking alone on the side of the road. Compelled by an irrational curiosity, she stops and offers the stranger a ride. The stranger is Walking Man, a Native American wandering shaman, who immediately asks, "Do you remember me?"
