Runt: The Omega Wolf

Runt: The Omega Wolf is about a wolf-pup who, after seeing his own pack slaughtered by the “two-legged” wolf, is thrown into a dingy old barn with a group of wolves who are waiting to be slaughtered. The wolves join together and become a pack. The pack agrees it must escape before the “two-legged” wolf slaughters them. Conflict arises between the two Runt loves mostâ€"the lead wolf, Dan, and the charismatic wolf, Alpha. A harsh blizzard is approaching and some of the pack is weak. Dan wants to leave after the blizzard ends so that all can survive. Alpha wants them to leave before the blizzard starts. In a surprise attack, the “two-legged” wolf slaughters Dan, leaving Alpha to proclaim himself as leader. He decides the pack should leave before the blizzard starts. Some stay; some go. Runt struggles with the choice he made as he discovers what it means to be a leader.
