Ring of Carrie

Patrick is proud of both his Irish heritage and of his family. He is devastated when he loses his father, and, worse yet, his mother starts dating a mumbling menace. Patrick thanks God for Carrie, his college girlfriend. Carrie seems to make things right. Yet when she and Patrick go to Patrick's home for Thanksgiving, thankfulness goes out the window as tempers flare. Patrick and Carrie return to school and dive into studying and activities. A seed of an idea blooms into the decision for Carrie and Patrick to study abroad in Ireland. The couple falls in love with the Emerald Isle as they note its beauty, its people, and the peace efforts as a result of the Good Friday Agreement. Patrick takes Carrie to the Ring of Kerry thinking that he will surprise her. Instead, it's possible that Patrick is the one who is most surprised!
