Rescued In Time

In the second Adventures in Time book, the Professor sets the time machine controls for ancient Egypt. But, it's anybody's guess where they are now. Wearing hideous tunics and wigs, Reece and Sean wander into a market stand followed by their dog, Bear. Twelve year old Dillon orders them to leave then begs them to stay as two menacing men approach on horseback. After the terrifying thugs leave, Dillon pleads with Reece and Sean to drive a horse-drawn wagon piled high with apples to a place called Franklin. Reece and Sean know nothing of horses, so Dillon gives them a five-minute tutorial and, with grave reservations, the two children and Bear are off. Soon, they realize that people are hidden inside the wagon and, for the rest of the day, Reece and Sean, with Bear's help, stay one step ahead of the two men trying to catch them. As the men close in, Reece meets Samantha, a girl her own age, and it's Sammy who rescues them in time. But, will the Professor's mini robot, ANNA, be able to return Reece, Sean, and Bear home again?
