About This Book

In 1882, Sara Lynn Killdeere, the Prairie Rose, is abducted from a wagon train as it s attacked, assaulted, sees her two best friends raped and murdered, before she escapes, then finds here self not believed and labeled damaged goods.

Three years pass as she works hard at a way station in Western Nevada, refuses to accept the label, and waits for her knight to appear. When a wanted man arrives in time to stop a stage hand from molesting her, she knows her knight has come at last. Under his encouragement she finds herself, and begins growing again into the beautiful, warm woman she was meant to be, and finds love.

But life isn t all roses; stage robberies begin soon after her knight arrives. Into the station walks one of the men she escaped from. If he saw her, he ll be back. She has seen the leader s face so he must kill her. Only her young outlaw friend believes her. It s up to the two of them to stop the outlaw leader, and his gang of killers, if the man she s coming to love isn t behind them. With the determination that enabled her to escape and brought her out of the desert before, she faces them. She won t run again; she has found life and love, and won t abandon those things. She and her gunfighter friend confront the killers.
