      Three faces revealed themselves to the terrified dictator; his palm began to feel the heat radiating from the pearl. He tried to open his hand to drop the demon jewel, but the creature adhered to his skin with searing tenacity. Like a living thing, he beast would not permit him to release his agonized grip. He writhed with the terrifying pain. His mind screamed at him to release the instrument of his torture. For some explainable reason the damned thing clung to him no matter how hard he shook his hand. He tried beating his hand on the edge of the trunk. A thick red ooze slowly trickled down the once flawless brown leather. The shiny perfect jewels, lying magnificently in their soft velvet lining, were now covered with blood and burnt flesh.
