Parkwalkers

Gina Franklin walks in a park. She has to. It's the only way she's found to relieve herself of the violent head pains she gets so often. There are seven other people who walk the park for the same reason-people Gina will later learn share something else in common with her: They were all in the same first grade together. And, at that time, each had a severe cold, for which they'd all received a very special injection. There's a mysterious van in the park every day, too, watching Gina and the other parkwalkers. Monitoring them. In the van, twisted cybergeek Tod Shalomar waits. And fantasizes. Shalomar's employer, the multi-national and sinister organization known only as the Consortium, has big plans for the parkwalkers. Plans for the eventual destruction of the greatest country in the free world. And their edge? Shalomar's pure hatred.
