A foreboding dream turns into reality when Luke receives news about the true cause of his father's death: murder. Luke is a young botanist who grew up in the Peruvian rainforest with his father and a friendly Amazonian tribe. Luke's father, Peter, was a medical doctor working for a U.S. pharmaceutical company while researching medicinal cures in the Amazonian rainforest. Peter made an amazing discovery on a broad usage drug but is murdered before the cure can be developed. Someone who works for the same drug company as Peter knows the black market potential for drugs and took a personal interest in Peter's work. Trying to solve his father's murder and also pursuing the research for which he gave his life, Luke is aided by Ann, a biochemist who has been studying Peter's previous work. After asking too many questions, Luke ends up on the run to save his own life. Orchids of the Solstice is a Peruvian drama with many twists and turns.
