      Captain Steve Church, an airline pilot for Universe Airlines, found himself in a catch-22 situation. Raised on a farm in the Midwest, Steve had been trained to do as he was told, do his best, and most importantly, be honest. The flight training in the USAF and the continued six-month check rides with the airline embedded that philosophy even more. After 58 years of that doctrine, money was the bait that pushed him over the edge. Lots of money. Murder, adultery, and intrigue were certainly not what Steve expected to enter into his structured life. His faith in marriage, friendship, and neighbors was cast aside much like scraps of paper in a tornado. Gluing together a broken vase was similar to Steve trying to put his life in order after letting it get sidetracked.
