About This Book

If you have followed the past adventures of Nick Klaus, this is the volume you have been waiting for. In "Nick Klaus and the Room of the Lost Footsteps," Nicolas comes to learn a thing or two about himself. But before getting there, he makes an upsetting discovery which sends him once again on a long frustrating journey. Basically how to escape from the Grand Library of Books United once you are trapped inside and there does not seem to be a way out. Of course the indomitable Mr. Crutchield and Mrs. Fieldcrutch are there to complicate his task and really make his life miserable. But Nick is resilient and committed to get himself out of the nightmare plaguing him."Nick Klaus and the Room of the Lost Footsteps" is the 6th installment of the Nick Klaus series and only the second one written directly in English (the first one being "Nick Klaus's Fables"). This book is intended to be a prequel to "Nick Klaus and the Outmoded Landscape." While you do not have to read this latter, in whole or in parts, to make sense of the series and understand what will happen to Nick Klaus in future books, I strongly suggest that you read "Nick Klaus and the Room of the Lost Footsteps," before you proceed to the subsequent ones, and this for two reasons. First, the up-and-coming, "Nick Klaus and Tumbling Jumblelium," builds on elements introduced in "The Room of the Lost Footsteps," notably the premise for the entire series, which was first hinted at in the "Outmoded Landscape." Although each book works as a stand-alone with a self-contained story, not being aware of this premise will impact the quality of your reading experience, notably what motivates Nick Klaus so much to want to escape at all costs the Grand Library of Books United. Second, given that I intend to release a new Nick Klaus book every two months, it is your benefit to want to know Nick Klaus's back story, where he comes from and how he ended up in the mess he is in, even if later you decide to skip, for reasons I could
