About This Book

Enrolled in Harvard and studying to become a renowned psychologist, Katie Murphy's dreams are interrupted one day when she receives a surprise call from her father. Her parents are getting divorced, and in an effort to understand what is happening as well as to try and rekindle the old flame between them, she returns home. The plot thickens when she gets there and discovers that not only has her mother already moved on, but her father has booked himself on a single's cruise. Her world capsizes beneath her, and she is plunged into the murky unknown waters of betrayal and confusion. She accompanies her father on the cruise, to keep an eye on him, but finds it disturbing to see him with other women. Feeling lost and alone, abandoned and distrustful, Katie wanders the deck looking for consolation. She meets an unexpected stranger who manages to pull her in despite her emotional distress, and though she tries to fight it, she gets caught up in the hazel-eyed Captain's charms. Katie runs, determined to escape the same fate her parents had wandered into, only to discover that she can't hide from her destiny. Would the Captain find her again? Would she be ready to surrender all to him, or keep running from love?
