Locked Lives

The halcyon days of youth, in which Berk, an adolescent avid for knowledge of a prying mind, spends, are suddenly cut short by the death of his father. This marks a turning point in his life as he suddenly finds himself grown up before his time and befriends by coincidence a veteran retired elderly man, Mete, of dubious character living a life of a recluse and whose sole occupation is fishing. This man, about whose past Berk is curious to know everything, will recount to him his gripping experiences in his profession as an ex-secret agent and his love out of this world which eventually sent him to a life imprisonment only to be released on parole just before the conclusion of his days of confinement, thanks to a loyal friend’s intervention. The most interesting point in this absorbing affair is Mete’s unexplicable, unaccountable, unfathomable love for a newspaperwoman of great attraction and betwitching beauty, a pawn in the hands of Mafia whom he rescues although to be separated for ever to be re-united in another dimension.
