Last of a Dying Breed

"Music is my religion." This saying is all too true for Kali, the last surviving member of a tribe that was legendary for its deeply religious warriors. After a technologically advanced army known as "The Phoenix Coalition" massacres her people and enslaves both she and her sister, Kali is forced to fight for life in the arena to clear her greedy master's debts. Although she is somewhat unorthodox and far from a saint, Kali's devotion to her faith is solid and she is soon rewarded with an unlikely guardian; "Gabriel" a spiritual guide who is able to empower Kali with the art of death dealing through the music of her MP3 Player. Armed with the power of Gabriel and her sister, Shiva, who despite being "born without words", makes up for her inability to speak with her high intelligence, Kali's success in the arena establishes her as a hero within the city. But Kali's world is turned upside down yet again when the scattered tribes of her people return, now led by her once childhood love, leaving her torn between the lives of her past and present. Now with the war reignited, it is up to Kali to find a solution to the chaos. With countless lives hanging in the balance, Kali must struggle to maintain her sanity, or risk losing what is left of mankind and her very soul.
