About This Book

Kidnaped was written for women, about women. This is a dramatization of kidnapings, rapes, and violent crimes committed against terrorist victims as detailed in Colombian Government records, court transcripts and interviews with the kidnap victims. Four girls and an American pilot are highjacked by the M19, an infamous guerilla band holed up on a tributary of the Amazon River. When terrorists schedule the pilot for execution, the girls find a shotgun. One of these desperate victims had hunted extensively in the Colombian Lowlands as a child with her father. She is elected to try to shoot it out with seven armed guards. She wins. The five hostages then take to the jungle. But their troubles are far from over, and as they try to make their way through the rainforest, the terrorist guerillas are never far behind. In a final, desperate scheme, the escapees return to the terrorist camp with the hope of swiping a plane.
