Journey to Unknown Consequences

Beyond Aruba's white sand beaches and the calm turquoise waters of the Caribbean, lies the underbelly of another not so nice society. With its casinos, bars and resorts, the operatives are well trained and perfected in making the tourists relaxed and comfortable. In 1960, after being kicked out of Cuba by Castro, the Mob is infiltrating Aruba with drugs, gambling and prostitution. This is much to the dismay of many local Arubans. ‘Journey to Unknown Consequences' is the sequel to ‘Journey of Betrayals' and follows the life of Jakob Klassen who escaped to the Island during WWII. He abandoned his wife in Holland and fled wartime Europe where he had betrayed many who helped him. Information received by Jakob led him to believe his wife was killed while trying to escape Nazi occupied Holland. But was she killed? Jakob's life in Aruba is filled with success and joy after he remarries Solange, a successful business woman. Will his attempt to fight the mob's smuggling and drug activities destroy all he and Solange have built together? In this story, Jakob returns to Europe to find those he had betrayed and seek reconciliation and forgiveness. Will those he betrayed forgive him? This fictional story, while incorporating some historical facts, will have you guessing and wondering.
